About the Organization
The Freedom Organization of Kurdistan Youth was established in 1999 after a difficult period in Kurdistan under the leadership of President Mam Jalal, as a necessity to gather Kurdish youth under a national umbrella.
Since its establishment, the organization has focused on several different areas such as education, culture, sports, and social activities, with the aim of developing youth capabilities and establishing values of freedom and equality. In recent years, the organization has managed to become a member of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) and establish strong relationships with several international youth organizations.
Today, the Freedom Organization of Kurdistan Youth continues its struggle to provide better opportunities for youth, combat all forms of discrimination, support youth innovation, and raise the voice of youth in the political process and decision-making in Kurdistan. The main goal of the organization is to create a conscious generation with independent personalities who can effectively participate in building civil society, as well as preserving Kurdish identity and national culture, raising the cultural and scientific level of youth, and finding solutions to the main problems of youth such as unemployment, migration, and marginalization. The organization strives to be a bridge between the youth of Kurdistan and the world for the exchange of experiences and shared values.
